The Medical Assisting program is a laboratory and classroom structured course designed to provide both the clinical and the administrative skills necessary to become a medical assistant.

Program Overview

The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educator Programs (CAAHEP*) on recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). A 160 hour supervised, unpaid externship is included, as well as an employability workshop held in the spring where area professionals are invited to participate in mock interviews with students nearing graduation.
