Satellite Program at Canal Winchester

The business of fashion.
This satellite program offered at Canal Winchester High School gives students a unique opportunity to explore the creative side of fashion that is anchored in strong business skills. When most people think about the fashion industry they immediately think of fashion design. Yet there's so much more that needs to happen for the latest designs to get out into the world and into the hands of the customers who will wear them.

The Fashion Merchandising program is designed to stimulate a comprehensive experience of the business of fashion. The experience will bring alive the economics, distribution, promotion, and the retail of fashion from a global perspective. Students who enroll in this program will learn the fundamentals of fashion, fashion merchandising, the forecasting of fashion, and essential strategies of promoting and selling fashion. Upon completion of this program, students could attend college, further developing their design, business, and marketing skills, or be ready for the retail of fashion at the entry level.
