Are you looking for a career that will allow you to express your creative side while helping and being of service to others? Cosmetology students learn to care for hair, skin, and nails, including shampooing, conditioning, shaping, styling, perming, hair coloring, manicuring, and performing facials.

This program is designed to help prepare students to take the State Board of Cosmetology Exam required to become a licensed cosmetologist.

College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is recommended.

Set the style.

If you enjoy working with your hands and would like to help people feel good about themselves, then the Cosmetology program at Eastland or Fairfield Career Center is for you. You will learn how to analyze a person’s features, from hair to body type, so that you can better help a person find a style that will suit him or her. Sometimes you will analyze a picture and determine how to create the style for a client.
