Are you looking for a career in helping animals and the people who love them? The Animal Management program will train you in the skills necessary to be a vet assistant working side-by-side with professional veterinary team members. 
 
Veterinary assistants play a vital role in the daily activities in a veterinary setting. They assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with every aspect of animal care, such as: feeding, bathing, and exercising animals; clean, sterilize exam/operating rooms/equipment; administer medications; properly restrain patients for blood/urine collection; perform lab tests; and maintain patient charts.
 
Care for the Animals.
The veterinary industry continues to grow as pet ownership continues to increase in the United States. Individuals interested in this career should have an aptitude for general science, math and biology and demonstrate basic language and communication skills.
 
Animal Wisdom.
Gain valuable, real-world, hands-on experiences including preparation for the Approved Veterinary Assistant exam (sponsored by NAVT). Areas of study include Zoo and Aquarium, Animal Anatomy & Physiology, Companion Animal Selection, and Veterinary Science.
