To those who walk through our doors and down our hallways, Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools is a special place. It’s a place where young adults choose to learn, instructors choose to teach, staff choose to work, and our stakeholders choose to partner. Eastland-Fairfield is a school of choice.
I take the fact that people have chosen Eastland-Fairfield very seriously because when people choose something, they are investing in it. Therefore, we owe our students, parents and guardians, staff, business partners, board of education members, and communities the absolute best we are able to give. Eastland-Fairfield has a history of incredible accomplishments and successful people over its 53-year existence, but the best is yet to come.
Central Ohio is one of, if not the most, rapidly-growing regions in the Midwest in terms of population, jobs, economics, and social influence. Eastland-Fairfield is proud to be part of that growth and wants to ensure that each student is prepared to enter a new phase of their life. As we look ahead to what the future may hold, we are committed to our students finding their E: Will they enter the employment market, pursue additional education, enlist in the military, and/or become an entrepreneur?
Ultimately, that question is for each student to decide, but our job as a school of choice is to plan for, prepare, and present the opportunities that exist and the endless possibilities that may unfold. To ensure we are giving our students the best options and our staff the best tools to accomplish that task in the best environment to do so, we vigorously engaged the groups that we serve. We asked students, parents and guardians, staff, alumni, associate schools, and business partners to learn more about us as an organization: What we do well? And what do we need to improve? The feedback was very humbling, but
out of those conversations emerged a strategic plan that will guide Eastland-Fairfield and all those who walk through our doors toward untapped potential and success beyond measure.
Embedded in this strategic plan are core values that we’ve proudly claimed as well as a refocused vision on what we wish to become.
Our mission is to engage, enrich, and equip EACH Eastland-Fairfield student. We believe that when we accomplish our mission, we make success attainable for ALL—all our families, staff, business partners, and communities.
The pillars of our success will rest on our student-centered decisions and actions, our ability to connect with those we serve, a focus on programming and operational excellence, and a promise to enhance our organizational culture to become more equitable, inclusive, collaborative, and positive. With this strategic plan as our guide and the incredible people that make up all of Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools, I am confident that we will experience growth as a school, as professionals, and as learners.
This plan will ask us to be bold and ambitious, but by choosing Eastland-Fairfield, we’ve chosen to be better than good. We’ve chosen to be great. Greatness can be accomplished; it is within our grasp. This plan and our commitment to it will help us achieve it, together.
