Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine

Satellite Program at New Albany High School and Gahanna Lincoln High School

Become a sideline or gym hero.
There is a team of people behind a sports team that keeps athletes healthy on game days. Become one of the few that patrol the sidelines to treat athletic injuries and work with them to prevent injuries from occurring.

In this program, students will learn how the human body reacts to diet and physical exertion then implement that knowledge to help people of all athletic backgrounds become or return to the best versions of themselves.

Build your routine
Sports Medicine is a two-year program designed to prepare students to pursue careers such as athletic training, physical therapy, and the many other professions under the expansive sports medicine umbrella. Combine classroom knowledge, hands-on practice, and the latest rehabilitation and training technology and you’ll be ready to tackle any challenge.

Sprint toward your future career
Working in this industry will place you with people of all ages and skill levels, from young children to soldiers to professional athletes. They are the first healthcare providers on the scene when injuries occur on the field and are ready to test, diagnose and treat athletes in order to return them to play as soon as possible.

The general public needs you, too! Ready yourself so that when injuries happen at home or work, you become the professional that people turn to in order to get back on track. Fitness has become a mainstream industry in the U.S. and this can be your chance to help someone look and feel more confident and healthy.
