Pre-Nursing

Program Overview

Students in the Pre-Nursing program gain an overview of the healthcare field. They study body mechanics, infection control and blood borne pathogens, legal issues and communication, therapeutic nutrition, personal care, wellness and disease process, phlebotomy, and advanced nursing skills. With this cross-training of skills, students have the opportunity to work as entry-level caregivers in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, or continue their education for additional credentials and degrees.
