A group of culinary students wearing white chef coats pose for a photo indoors, standing in three rows behind two women in red blazers. The group is gathered in a lobby area with stone columns and a large window in the background, with couches visible in the foreground.

Culinary Arts students from Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools competed in the Regional Culinary Competition on February 7 at Hocking College, representing the program across several culinary events.

Nineteen students competed in a range of events that challenged their technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and professionalism. By the end of the competition, Eastland-Fairfield earned the highest number of awards and medals of any school in attendance. The results reflect the time and effort students put in every day as they continue building their skills in the kitchen.

Competitions like this give students the chance to apply what they learn in the classroom in a real competition setting. They gain hands-on experience, learn to work under pressure, and prepare for careers in the culinary and hospitality industries. It also speaks to the strong teamwork within the program.

The next round of competition takes place March 7 at Licking Valley High School, where students will compete for a spot at the state level. State qualifiers will be announced March 15.

We are proud of the way our students represented Eastland-Fairfield and the work they put in at Regionals!
