It Is Never Too Early to Explore Careers.

Young children start early on to "decide" what they want to do when they grow up (teacher, fireman, garbage man, bus driver, etc.).  At EFCTS we use the Career Connections Framework from the Ohio Department of Education in some of our associate schools for all grades.

Career Connections

Career Connections is a service to a number of Eastland-Fairfield associate schools and is provided to middle school students as an elective class. Each section is one semester long and is taught by an Eastland-Fairfield staff member. Students will go through the semester exploring different career clusters through a variety of hands-on activities and also learn about different skills associated with each career cluster.

Currently, Eastland-Fairfield has Career Connections courses in 10 middle schools across eight of its associate school districts. That means approximately 800 middle school students are getting the opportunity to explore careers every year! Ask your student's school if an EFCTS Career Connections class is offered. We've also provided a few resources that can be used at home as you explore different career options with your child.
