Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools has inducted Bill McGowan into the EFCTS Hall of Fame in recognition of his 24 years of service on the Board of Education and his commitment to students and staff.
McGowan has represented the Teays Valley Local School District since 2001 and has been a consistent advocate for career and technical education. His leadership supported expanded learning opportunities for high school and adult students and strengthened pathways that prepare learners for their future in education, employment, enlistment, or entrepreneurship.
He played a key role in district planning efforts that improved facilities, supported special populations, and guided major construction projects. These projects include the Engineering Technologies Center at Eastland Career Center, the NextGen Training Center at Fairfield Career Center, and the continued growth of satellite programs in partnership with Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
“Bill has always kept students at the heart of every decision,” said Shelley Groves, Superintendent/CEO. “His leadership and vision will continue to benefit Eastland-Fairfield for many years.”
The Eastland-Fairfield Board of Education thanks McGowan for his dedication and congratulates him on his Hall of Fame induction.
