Seventeen students from Eastland Career Center’s Medical Office and Programming & Software Development programs recently traveled to Nashville to compete at the 2026 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference.

Students earned the opportunity to compete after strong performances at the state level, including a state championship in Advanced Spreadsheets and state runner-up finishes in Fundamental Spreadsheets and Interview Skills. During the multi-day event, students participated in national competitions while also experiencing the sights and culture of Nashville.

At the Grand Awards Ceremony, Eastland Career Center continued an impressive tradition, marking the eighth consecutive year that at least one student or team from the BPA chapter earned national finalist recognition by placing in the top 10. This year also marked the fourth consecutive year a Programming student placed in the top three nationally, as well as back-to-back years for a Medical Office student to finish in the top 10.

Students earning national recognition include:

  • Jesse Parrilla (Pickerington High School North) – 3rd Place, Advanced Spreadsheets

  • Rogma Bhattarai (Reynoldsburg High School) – 9th Place, Interview Skills

Eastland-Fairfield is proud of all students who competed on the national stage and represented the district with professionalism, determination and skill.
